Ellacotts LLP is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our business activities are conducted in an ethical and professional manner minimising the impact on the environment.
We care about the impact which we have on the communities and the environment in which we work and live. We also acknowledge that in making strategic business decisions it is important that we consider the social and environmental needs of local and regional communities, and how we can bring benefit to those communities beyond accountancy services.
We are committed to operating to the highest possible legal standards with a strong sense of integrity, developing and maintaining trust with our clients and business partners.
Our Community
Ellacotts LLP makes a positive and lasting difference in the local community. As part of our community investment activities, we select a firm wide Charity of the Year, who are locally-based, as the main focus of our fundraising activities. This year it is Dogs for the Disabled.
Dogs for the Disabled are a life-transforming charity, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially-trained assistance dogs. Through practical assistance a dog can offer freedom and independence to children and adults with physical disabilities and children with autism.
As well as our charity of the year, we sponsor and provide assistance to a variety of local charities and organisations where there is a link with our people, the local community or the accountancy industry in general. In addition many members of the firm are actively involved in a variety of charitable activities, outside of their working lives.
Our Clients
Ellacotts have a ‘Duty of care’ to clients to deliver a professional, personal and proactive approach, which is flexible and responsive to their specific needs. We deliver solutions tailored to meet our clients’ exact needs and requirements.
We place the utmost importance on the quality of our services, and as members of the UK200 Group and the International Association of Practising Accountants, we are subject to an annual independent review so as to ensure our standards of work are, and remain, of the highest quality.
Our Suppliers
Ellacotts LLP supports local suppliers wherever possible such as printers, builders, office suppliers etc. We aim to settle all bills within one calendar month and strive to be seen as a credible and reputable business to work with.
We work in partnership with suppliers to help us to maintain standards across the company and achieve our policy aspirations in the delivery of our products and services.
Our Staff
At Ellacotts, we promote equality and diversity in our own policies and practices in relation to all professional dealings with staff, clients, suppliers, other accountants and third parties.
As a professional services practice, our most important assets are our people and we place great importance on investing in staff training and development and as such have been awarded Investors in People.
Our Environment
Ellacotts LLP believes in raising awareness of environmental issues and it is our policy to take all reasonable measures to promote sustainability. We continuously strive to minimise the use of power and resources, recycling at every opportunity. The environmental approach taken by our suppliers is extremely important to us and we encourage all those we work with to be proactive in this area.
Although we are not a large consumer of power or producer of waste, we believe it is our responsibility to continuously audit how we can reduce this further and assist in protecting our environment. One of the areas we demonstrate this is in our move towards our “paperless” environment. Moving forward it is our commitment to continue to look at ways in which we contribute to the cause as well as being aware of any new legislation.
We are currently in the second year of our Cycle to Work Scheme, which is available to all staff. The scheme, which promotes a positive impact on our carbon footprint, encourages staff to purchase a brand new bike for commuting to work by making deductions from their wages.
Our Health & Safety
Ellacotts LLP will always provide an environment which is both safe and fit for the intended purpose and ensure that health and safety issues are a priority for our business operations.
Our Standards of Business Conduct
We are committed to ensuring that our business is conducted in all respects according to ethical, professional and legal requirements.
