As part of our work with our Charity of the Year, Ellacotts are sponsoring a puppy. Staff came up with possible names and a list was submitted to Dogs for the Disabled. Dogs for the Disabled chose the name, i.e. one which hadn’t been used before and one that they felt worked best. The winning name was Cosmo.

Cosmo is a black Labrador, who was born on 21 January 2011. He is currently with his puppy socialiser for the next 12 months where he will develop the fundamental skills required for his very important future role.
As part of his socialising, Cosmo will be gently exposed to lots of new experiences which will give him confidence. He will visit shops, retail parks, schools, libraries, busy town centres etc and will even travel on various forms of public transport. Cosmo will also be given endless time, love and attention so that he has the best possible start towards becoming a trained assistance dog.
Ellacotts’ staff will be kept updated with information about Cosmo’s progress throughout the year.
