Accounts/Audit Manager - SME (ACA, ACCA)
Banbury, Oxfordshire
Due to continued growth and success Ellacotts are now looking to expand their existing management team. The SME and Corporate team are expert providers of accounting, tax and business advice services, acting for clients from a diverse range of sectors and specialist areas.
You will work with a dedicated team of specialists benefiting from a wide range of interesting work. In addition to the responsibilities below you will be tasked with creating new business opportunities and providing a cost-effective, timely, quality service to the client, you will maximise margin for the firm, whilst providing exceptional levels of service. You will deal primarily with private clients, although they may have business interests including limited companies and LLPs.
Key duties will include:
- Responsibility for planning, leading and controlling the work of your department
- Managing your team through to meet challenging targets and objectives
- Identifying other services that we can offer to our clients
- Assisting partners with specific assignments such as business planning, advisory and tax matters
To be considered for this exciting position, you must have:
- An ACA, ACCA qualification
- Proven management and post-qualification accounts experience within a practice environment
- A degree or equivalent qualification
I addition to this to this as an Accounts / Audit Manger, you must have excellent communication skills as well as a resilient and organised approach, be an outstanding delegator and you will be able to build rapport and trust quickly and display a creative, yet analytical nature.
Trainee Accountants
We are accepting applications for graduates wishing to pursue a career in accountancy and gain a recognised professional qualification (ACA) or (ACCA)
The three year training contract involves a comprehensive study and work experience programme. Full training and exam support, using specialised training companies, will be given to successful applicants. We offer paid study leave in addition to your annual and statutory holiday entitlement.
Our client base is diverse and ranges in size from large companies to small sole traders. As a result we can offer a wider exposure to a variety of work experiences than most other firms our size.
Applicants will require a 2.1 honours degree to be considered.
'A' Level Students
We are also looking for 'A' Level students interested in a career in accountancy who will study for the AAT (Accounting Technician) qualification. On completion, students may be offered the option to 'Fast Track' from AAT to the Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA). You could qualify as a chartered accountant in as little as two years.
The training contract includes exam support (including paid study leave) and a thorough study and work experience programme.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSE's, including "A" Grades in English and Maths and 2 'A' levels. Equivalent grades at International Baccalaureate level are also welcomed.
