31 October 2008 : Filing deadline for all Paper Tax Returns for 2007 / 08 Tax Year

30 December 2008 : Deadline last date for tax under £2000 to be collected through your PAYE notice of coding for tax returns submitted by paper.

31 January 2009: Filing Deadline for 2008 Tax Returns submitted electronically. (Failure to file will lead to a £100 late filing penalty) & payment date for balancing payment for 2007/08 tax year and the first payment on account date for 2008/09 tax year.

28 February 2009 : 5% surcharge imposed for any outstanding balancing payments for the 2007 / 08 tax year.

6 April 2009 : Start of the 2009 / 10 tax year and issue date of 2008 / 09 tax returns.
