Countdown to Final of Banbury Innovation Award 2009

The Banbury Innovation Award 2009 is gearing up for the Awards Evening on Thursday 28 January 2010 to be held at the Mercure Whately Hall Hotel in Banbury.
Five finalists have been selected who will fight it out on the night to be named winner of the Banbury Innovation Award 2009. The five finalists are:
• John Davis who has developed a device that can regulate the power supply to an electrical item.
• Josef Tapper (Statix Industries Ltd) who has developed a sugar-fuelled industrial steam boiler.
• Marlan Higgins (LAD-VCS Ltd) who has developed a video conferencing system to deliver legal advice.
• Dr Duane Ager (Microbial Solutions Ltd) who has developed an ecologically friendly microbiological treatment, which removes toxic components from waste metal working fluid used in the manufacturing industries.
• Colin Hollyoake who has developed a new plant pot idea which uses grow-bag material.
Each finalist will pitch their ideas and innovations to a specially selected panel of judges who include Simon Phillips - Gusto Games, Lorraine Frost – Business Link, Craig Brodey – Norbar Torque Tools, Vicky Boulton – Ellacotts and Brian Auld – Brethertons.
At the end of the evening the winner will be presented with their prestigious award by Tony Baldry MP.
