Three Peaks Success

23 April 2009

Last weekend Amy Stevens, Pip Elms, Andrew Richardson, Andrew Keyser and James Porter successfully completed The National Three Peaks Challenge. Tired but happy, the five accountants from Ellacotts LLP were delighted with their achievements, as they managed to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon, and travel between all three peaks, in just over 24 hours.

Scaling a total of 11,172ft, these intrepid walkers also managed to raise in excess of £800 for Katharine House Hospice. But they couldn’t have done is without vital help from their sponsors whom they would like to thank - these include Ellacotts, Sheldon Bosley, The Fox at Farthinghoe and Target Vehicle Hire.

Andrew Richardson said. “It was hard work but incredibly fulfilling. Fortunately, the British weather was kind to us and by working together as a team we were able to encourage and support each other as sleep deprivation and general tiredness slowly took its toll.”

Buoyant from their success, the Ellacotts five are currently wondering what other challenges they can get involved in over the coming year that will test their endurance and sense of adventure to the limits.
