At Ellacotts LLP, we are constantly striving to improve the quality and range of services we offer our clients. An area of increasing concern for individuals and businesses relates to the security of their information, particularly when it is being either exchanged or shared.
With identity and data theft on the increase, client portals are fast becoming the only safe way to communicate with clients regarding personal contact information, accounts, tax returns, payroll files, letters etc. To this end we have developed DataLoc, a client portal which enables both us and our clients to upload and save files into a secure area, where they can then be shared, viewed or downloaded.
DataLoc offers the following benefits:

- Access to your own personal and secure area within our website

- As an added precaution, we also issue an individual and unique username and password for every aspect of your business. For example, if you are a partner in a partnership you will have a username and password for your personal records as well as a username and password for your partnership records.

To activate your own personal area on DataLoc, please call Christine Coates or Peter Corbett on 01295 250401 with the following details:
- Mother's maiden name
- Date of birth
- Unique place or name
- Confirmation of email address.
- On receipt of this information you will then be sent a randomly generated password within a separate letter, along with simple operational instructions.
Important Information
Whilst every effort is made on our behalf to keep the contents of your DataLoc area secure, clearly it is your responsibility to ensure your username and password are not released to other members of your business as this will give them full access to confidential matters concerning your business and personal affairs.
