Ellacotts team to take on Rough Runner challenge

27 March 2018

On Saturday 19 May, a team of 40 Ellacotts staff and Partners will take on the challenge of Rough Runner to raise money for our two Charities of the Year, Katharine House Hospice and Cransley Hospice

Rough Runner is a 15km obstacle course, combining distance running with a variety of challenging obstacles along the way, each inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle, Gladiators, and Fun House. Obstacles include; sweeper arms, giant pigeon battles, big balls and the dreaded Travelator!

With an ambitious fundraising target of £7,000, Rough Runner is our flagship fundraising event of the 2017/18 year. Our dedicated staff have already started to prepare by participating in an after work running club and taking on a specially developed training programme.

Over the past nine months, our team have taken part in a number of other fundraising activities including dress down days, cake bakes, Christmas jumper day and charity lunches in order to raise much-needed funds.

Both Katharine House Hospice and Cransley Hospice provide specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions, enabling them to approach the end of life with dignity, free from pain and distressing symptoms.

We would really appreciate any support in our efforts to raise money for these amazing charities. If you would like to sponsor us and help us reach our target, please visit our fundraising page.
