I joined Ellacotts in April 2009, having previously qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with a regional Chartered Surveying firm following my graduation from The Royal Agricultural College in 2006 with a fist class honors degree. Surveying was not the career for me and instead the lure of tax planning and accountancy lead me to Ellacotts. I retrained with the firm and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012.

I am currently a director within the Agriculture and Property team and I manage a portfolio of agricultural and land-owning clients. I also head up the firm’s equine team, looking after a mix of stud farms, livery yards, event yards and other equine businesses. On a daily basis, I am involved with Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning for our clients, together with all aspects of accounts compliance work for a variety of rural clients from sole traders to family partnerships, trusts and farming companies. I enjoy the variety of work my job entails and the satisfaction of careful tax planning work which provides practical solutions to help clients minimise their tax liabilities. I work within a fantastic team at Ellacotts and we all pride ourselves on the quality of service we provide to our clients and delivering solutions to them.

Outside of work I am kept busy looking after my two young daughters, spending time with my family and lively black Labrador, Percy. I enjoy horse racing (including the odd flutter!), country sports and running.
