I joined Ellacotts as an AAT trainee in June 2016 after graduating from Swansea University with a degree in Maths and Sports Science. The firm provides its staff with good opportunities to learn and progress along the career ladder and I am now currently studying towards the ACA qualification.
I work in the Corporate Services department and in my day-to-day role, I prepare statutory accounts for small-medium sized businesses and sole traders. I also prepare the corresponding tax returns and on occasion, I also prepare personal tax returns. I enjoy the mathematical side of accounting as it gives me the chance to work with numbers and figures.
Away from the office, I enjoy being active and filling my spare time with sport, playing for a local badminton and football team, whilst also captaining a tennis team. Also on the rare occasions when we do get nice weather I enjoy going back down to the south coast in Dorset where I grew up.
