We are delighted to announce that our winner of the Business Person of the Year Award at The Cherwell Business Awards 2019 is Daniel Geoghegan of Bicester Heritage.

Daniel was chosen by our judges as the winner for his tremendous work in setting up and developing Bicester Heritage and his vision for the future of the business.

Charlotte Toemaes, Corporate Services Partner and Director of the Cherwell Business Awards, said:

“The way Daniel has founded Bicester Heritage from scratch in just a few years is nothing short of phenomenal. The extraordinary amount of work that has gone into renovating and developing the old RAF base, along with getting funding and not only having filled every unit, but also having a waiting list of companies wanting to be part of the complex is incredible. The plans for the future are very exciting and will add to the huge amount of investment that Bicester Heritage has already bought to the area.”

The other finalists were Georgia Geary, Director of The Mill Arts Centre and Paul Morrow, Chairman of British Bakels.

Charlotte continued:

“This year we saw the highest standard of applications ever. It has made judging the Business Person of the Year Award incredibly difficult and we could have chosen many winners. However, we chose our three finalists – Daniel, Georgia and Paul – because they have done some incredible work in their respective businesses, are so passionate about what they do and driving their businesses forward and are recognised within their industries as game changers.”

The 8th Cherwell Business Awards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony took place on Friday 10 May 2019 at the stunning Heythrop Park at Enstone. Throughout the evening, eleven awards were presented. To see the full list of winners, visit the Cherwell Business Awards website.
