Sarka was chosen as Ellacotts winner because of the way she has grown and developed her agency over the years, her plans for the future and the passion and commitment she has for delivering an excellent service to both her landlords and her tenants.
Charlotte Houghton, Partner, who presented the award said,
“Sarka’s passion for growing her business and the way she is committed to developing her staff was very impressive. We really liked the fact she is dedicated to looking after her tenants as well as her landlords. On top of an already busy schedule, Sarka’s constant drive to raise money for local good causes is incredibly inspiring and really made her stand out from the crowd.
The Business Person of the Year was once again one of the most popular categories at the Awards and judging it is an extremely tough decision. We had some fantastic applications again this year and we thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the applicants and their businesses.
Our other finalists – Paula Pym of Paula Jane Boutique and Mark Allitt of Banbury United Community Football Club were close runners up and we were really impressed with what they had both achieved in their respective businesses.”
Our winner was announced at the 7th Cherwell Business Awards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony which took place on Friday 11th May at the stunning Heythrop Park at Enstone. During the evening guests enjoyed a drinks reception and 3-course dinner, with a disco and photo-booth adding a real sense of fun and celebration to the night. Sponsors and supporters generously donated prizes for a raffle, raising more than £1,500, with all the proceeds going to the winner of the Charity & Community Award – Second Time Around.
All 24 finalists were commended before each of the category sponsors announced the winner and presented their elegant, engraved glass trophies and framed certificates.
