Ellacotts is delighted to announce the promotion of Agriculture Director, Joanne Wright, to Partner from 1 June 2019.
The promotion is a further expansion to the firm’s Agriculture and Property team, which is one of the largest in the region with over 40 professionals and now 4 Partners dedicated to advising farmers, landowners and other agri-businesses. Joanne has been fundamental in growing Ellacotts Kettering office and expanding the specialist tax services available to clients.
Joanne is a Chartered Tax Adviser and joined Ellacotts as a Manager in January 2015 followed by a promotion to Director in June 2016. She trained and spent many years working for a top five accountancy firm as well as other regional firms. Joanne advises clients in all aspects of tax, and specialises in minimising tax on land sales, Entrepreneurs’ Relief, Inheritance Tax planning, succession planning, capital allowances and trusts. She is STEP qualified (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), and is also the Secretary for the Northamptonshire R.A.B.I (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) Committee.

Alongside Joanne, Ellacotts has made several other promotions across the firm. Pip Cusack becomes Agriculture Manager, Patrick Gardner becomes Agriculture Assistant Manager, Kelly Linzey is promoted to Assistant Manager within the Corporate Services team and Nicola Harte is promoted to Assistant Manager in the Tax and Wealth Planning team.
