MAAT

Agriculture & Property

I joined the Agriculture & Property department in June 2015 as an AAT Trainee, having just completed my A-Levels in Accounting and Business studies.

I completed my AAT qualification in September 2017 and am now studying for my ICAEW ACA Chartered Accountant qualification, with the view to having completed this by July 2020.

For me, a day at Ellacotts could consists of accounts preparation, VAT returns, tax computations and general correspondence to and from clients.

I look forward to going to work each day and working with true professionals, learning something new and helping to develop others through the Trainee mentoring system. The culture within the firm is far from the traditional stereotype of accountancy too as everyone is friendly and approachable on all levels.

Outside of work, when I am not studying, I can be found exploring the family farm with my dog, Rosie. I’ve also been fortunate enough to compete, to county level, on my now sold show pony, Old Court Charlotte where, in 2010, we were crowned Supreme Champion at the Royal International Horse Show held at Hickstead and also placed 3rd at the Horse of the Year Show.
