I’ve been a Trainee within the Corporate Services team at Ellacotts for around a year now and am currently studying with AAT. Prior to joining, I had worked within the Financial Services sector for five years, but due to relocating from Leeds to Banbury, I reassessed my career which is what lead me into accountancy. My role consists of independent examination and accounts preparation for charity clients, bookkeeping and management accounts, audit, and internal scrutiny for Academy Trusts.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at Ellacotts and have had the privilege to get to know and learn from the incredibly knowledgeable managers and seniors within the team. As a trainee I was assigned a buddy to guide and teach me everything I need to know in order to be successful; I was fortunate enough to be paired with Tyler, the firm’s Charity and Academy specialist, who has been on hand to help me every step of the way.
Although outside of work I spend a lot of time studying, I do find the time to relax with family and friends and even partake in aerial arts classes to keep active.
