Taylor-James McCardie

I work as a Trainee Accountant in the Agriculture & Property Team. My role is all about supporting clients and helping them manage their financial affairs effectively. In my day to day, I prepare client accounts, assist with VAT and Tax returns, and produce ad hoc reports when needed. I also help with drafting correspondence and liaising with clients. Every day brings something new, and I enjoy the variety and challenge that come with the role.  As part of my professional development, I’m working towards a formal ACA Chartered qualification through an apprenticeship scheme. One of the things I value most about working here is the supportive environment. The company provides excellent training and guidance, which makes a real difference as I progress toward my professional goals. I feel encouraged to grow and develop, and I’m proud to be part of a team that values quality and client service.

Outside the office, I love playing darts and being part of my local team—it’s a great mix of fun, friendly competition, and socialising. I enjoy the challenge of improving my skills and the buzz of a good match. I’m also passionate about looking after dogs; spending time with them is relaxing and rewarding. I’ve become the go-to person for family and friends when they need someone reliable to care for their pets, which I genuinely enjoy.
