I joined the Agriculture and Property team at Ellacotts in July 2017, completing my AAT studies alongside my practical work experience. This was my first experience of working in practice, and I am now progressing through further studies to become ACA qualified.
Before joining the team I completed a degree in Mathematics in Manchester, finishing in 2016. I have always enjoyed working with numbers, and a finance module I took in my second year of university piqued my interest and steered me towards a career in accountancy.
One of the great things about working at Ellacotts is the variety of work – no two days are ever the same. My day-to-day duties include preparation of annual accounts and VAT returns, assisting clients with software and Company Secretarial needs, and preparing tax returns.
My time away from the office is usually spent at gigs and festivals, or hacking up the local golf courses!
