Qualified Accounts Senior

I joined Ellacotts as a trainee in the Agriculture and Property department in April 2020 and have now qualified as an ACCA accountant. Prior to this, I achieved my AAT qualification at a small charity as a finance assistant.

Day-to-day, I am preparing accounts and tax returns for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and companies, as well as supporting managers and partners with more complex tasks that arise. Adapting your approach to each client means no two days are the same.

I also assist clients and my colleagues with Xero software queries as well as running introductory sessions for individual clients moving onto Xero.
With the excellent ‘buddy’ scheme that Ellacotts offer, I mentor trainees to help them with starting their career at Ellacotts. It is great seeing people develop and learn, especially having been in the exact same position myself when I started.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends including eating out and going to the cinema. I also enjoy going to the theatre – mainly to see musicals – and walking my Jack Russell, Tilly.
