I joined Ellacotts in April 2022 in the corporate services team as a semi-senior for audit and accounts, after 4 years of experience with a top 7 accounting firm. Day to day, my main role is to perform audits of financial statements for a wide array of clients, in multiple different industries. I aim to help businesses fulfil their reporting requirements and provide them with any necessary technical assistance along the way. Additionally, I help clients to prepare their financial statements in accordance with appropriate reporting standards.
I am currently part of the apprenticeship scheme with Ellacotts and Reed Business School, and I am studying towards the ACA qualification with ICAEW. Through this, I have achieved certificate and time qualification, and aim to be fully chartered in 2024.
Before accounting, I studied sports journalism at Leeds Trinity University, and hold a Bachelor’s Degree through this. I have written match reports for national newspapers, and have worked with professional Football League teams to provide official match reports for websites and programmes. I have also volunteered my journalism experience at local level, occasionally operating the Twitter account and helping out with radio commentary for AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Outside of work, my main passions are Formula 1, football and music. I very rarely miss a Formula 1 race and hope to go to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone one day. In football, I support AFC Rushden & Diamonds, which allows me to enjoy Premier League football as a neutral. I own 6 music instruments, and can play them all to varying degrees of skill.
