I joined Ellacotts in June 2021 as a Trainee Accountant in the Agriculture and Property department after graduating from Oxford Brookes University in Mathematics and Statistics. I am currently studying for my level 4 AAT exams and working at Ellacotts has been a great benefit as they have helped me through this process while also helping me decide how I am going to further my career with the chartered accountancy training.
In my current role, I prepare accounts for our agriculture clients as well as prepare and file confirmation statements for clients. With the amount of different clients that we help I get to see many different aspects on a daily basis.
Since starting back in June 2021 I have been given a large range of opportunities to further develop my professional and social skills, this has included being trained as a Xero adviser, being included in client meetings and being assigned a mentee to help show the ropes to.
From the very first day, I was assigned my own mentor who has been vital to my growth and is always able to help me with any questions that I have, this has made working at Ellacotts especially great.
Away from work, I spend my time with close friends and family. I also enjoy spending my evening relaxing and watching tv with my partner. Each year I try to go to new and existing places each year with my partner like Venice, Florida and Rome.
