I joined Ellacott’s in December 2021 after previously working for one of the Big Four firms for around 18 months in audit. I was working as part of the financial services department within the Insurance business unit.
I am currently studying towards the ACA qualification off the back of completing a degree with UCFB in Football Business and Finance achieving a 2:1 BA Honours.
At Ellacotts, day to day, I interact with clients in order to understand their business and the manner in which it is run to the best plan and apply the required audit methodology and testing to ensure that their financial statements truly reflect the performance of the company for that year. Each week could be different as you meander through the variety of small and medium-sized businesses that, prior to working in audit at Ellacotts, I never knew could exist. The close-knit and personal feel of a smaller firm such as Ellacotts is a breath of fresh air.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching and playing football and also have a keen interest in Formula 1. I have a dog who, despite being little, needs lots of walking and attention.
