Louise Hosking

Director

I am one of the directors in the Agricultural and Property team. I joined Ellacotts as a manager in June 2011, having qualified as an accountant in 2007, whilst working for another firm of Oxfordshire accountants. I was promoted to Director of Agriculture and Property in December 2014.

My role involves looking after a wide range of agricultural and rural clients, from sole proprietors and family farming partnerships through to limited companies and large estates. I manage the accounts and tax compliance work for clients, as well as working on tax planning matters, including succession and Inheritance Tax planning, Capital Gains Tax planning and profit predictions and Income Tax planning. I have a hands-on approach and I am willing to spend time getting to know clients’ businesses in order to assist with their accounting and taxation needs in an effective manner.

I feel very fortunate to work with a great team here at Ellacotts and enjoy working with our agricultural and rural clients. I am also involved with the Agricultural Law Association – South Midlands group, which organises events for fellow Agricultural Professionals in our area.

Outside of work, I am involved with my husband’s family dairy farm, not only assisting with paperwork but also helping out on the farm. I am also kept busy raising our two children.
