I am an audit manager in the Corporate Services Team here at Ellacotts. I joined the team in February 2024, having gained over 7 years of audit and accounts experience in an accountancy practice in London.
My accountancy journey started in 2016 fresh out of university and I have since gained my ACA qualification, along with gaining experience across several sectors and working with businesses and not-for-profit organisations of a variety of sizes. Areas of focus for me in my previous role were auditing recruitment companies, as well as a handful of FCA-registered companies.
One of the elements of audit that I enjoy is helping businesses to optimise their processes and so enable them to flourish and I believe that audit should be more than just a tick-box exercise to fulfil statutory requirements.
Outside of work, you will never find me far from a sports pitch. I play rugby for Banbury, as well as playing 6-a-side football most weeks and getting out for a run or two here and there. I am also a trustee of my local church in Brackley. My nerdy side comes out with anything related to chess – I play regularly online, alongside watching hours (and hours) of YouTube videos to try and improve.
