Sue Findlay

Receptionist

Administration

I am the Receptionist and Practice Administrator at the Kettering office. I have been here since the office opened in April 2016. In fact, I started before the office officially opened, spending my time shopping for the many items needed to make the new team feel at home.

I am the cheerful voice on the end of the phone and the person who would welcome you when you walk in the door with a smile.

As well as my reception duties, I help out in the office in many ways. Typically, I can be making drinks for clients, ordering lunches for client meetings and maybe later assisting with the PA, Helen. With many other jobs in between! The variety is endless and I never know what unusual challenges could be waiting just around the corner.

I used to live and work in Devon and grew up on my grandad’s farm. I kept pigs and to this day they are my favourite animals. I collect pig memorabilia and have a collection of many items in my house and a life-sized pig in the garden.

When I am not at work, I spend many hours in my garden. There is always plenty to do, especially in the spring when everything magically comes alive. We have many birds that visit and even had a red kite visit recently. The garden is a soothing and relaxing place to be and is my sanctuary.

When it comes to sport I am a rugby fan who supports Exeter Chiefs and never misses a game in the Six Nations Championship.
I also enjoy motorsport, on two and four wheels, and I have attended the Speedway World Championship Grand Prix in Cardiff for many years and enjoy motorsport wherever I can find it, especially at Silverstone.

Much of my spare time is taken up with volunteering for The Core Theatre in Corby, where I have the pleasure of performing meet and greet duties before settling down to enjoy a show, but keeping alert for any problems that might occur. Seeing such a wide variety of shows certainly has broadened my horizons and I now appreciate many forms of theatre that I never would have imagined could appeal to me.

When holiday time comes around, I have a timeshare in Lanzarote, which my husband and I usually visit twice a year. We have recently fallen in love with Cyprus after having a very enjoyable time this year and plan to return next spring.
