I am currently a tax trainee in the tax and wealth planning department. I spend most of my day completing personal tax returns for clients with the odd call to HMRC involved as well.
I have been at Ellacotts since July 2022. I came from a small bookkeeping firm in Daventry, where I live. I currently hold the AAT Level 2 qualification and I am working towards my ATT qualification.
The most memorable client so far during my time at Ellacotts is the first client I met face to face. It was really good to put a face to a name and helped give the return a more personal feel.
Ellacotts is a great place to work for a variety of reasons. The training provided to me has been really helpful in making me feel comfortable within the role, the mentors provided to me have a vast amount of knowledge and time to help with my development. No two days are the same, with the variety of returns I get to deal with. Everyone in the office is happy to be there and helps to create a welcoming environment that I enjoy being a part of.
Away from the office I enjoy going to football games, and following my favourite team Shrewsbury Town around the country. I am currently developing my kickboxing skills as I go to a class regularly, and always try to find time to turn on my PC and play some of my favourite games.
