I joined Ellacotts in April 2020 in the first lockdown, having left a small firm in Buckingham where I started my training towards my ACA qualification. Prior to that, I worked at home with my mother helping to run our small livery yard and stud farm in Warwickshire, breeding and producing a range of competition horses and ponies for clients (and ourselves!).

I work closely with Claire Rigby as my manager and assist mostly with our equine clients, looking after stud farms, livery yards and event yards. I also assist Claire and our other managers and partners with our agricultural clients. On a daily basis, I am involved with preparing accounts and tax returns, as well as some inheritance tax and capital gains tax computations and preparing VAT returns for clients.

Having grown up on a stud farm and through young farmers and the pony club, I feel I have a good understanding of the goings on in the day-to-day lives of the majority of our clients.

Outside of work, you will likely find me somewhere in the country at a county show with my mum, pony and dog trying to qualify for Horse of the Year Show! Apart from that, I enjoy a week’s skiing most years with family and friends, or a long weekend away in the UK with my partner and our two dogs Cookie and Fudge.
